What is diabetes?
Diabetes is a condition that causes higher than normal blood sugar levels because the body does not properly process food for use as energy. When you have diabetes, your body either doesn’t make enough insulin or can’t use its own insulin properly. If diabetes is left untreated, sugars can build up in your blood and lead to serious health complications.
